Have you trusted Jesus for salvation?
New Life church is a group of people, both young and old, who have placed their hope for salvation in the perfect work of Jesus. Because we are passionate about the proper worship of Jesus, we want you to know that God loves you and has a plan for your life!
Many spend their lives trying to earn God’s approval by following rules, attending religious services, or being a good person; the truth is that the only way to truly experience the life that God intends and secure an eternal future in heaven is through a relationship with Jesus Christ. You can discover what it means to have a relationship with Jesus as you walk through the following process:
Take time to acknowledge that God loves you.
Because of God’s love for humanity, He has made it possible through Jesus, to enjoy fellowship with Him. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:4-5)
Because of sin we are unable to enjoy fellowship the Holy creator and righteous sustainer of all things. It is essential that you recognize your sin as rebellion in the sight of God. The Bible teaches that all people are “sinners” in that everyone has disobey the righteous standard of God. Sin is anything that we think, say or do that stands in opposition to God. (Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:10)
It is because of your personal sin that you are unable to enjoy fellowship with God. As an unholy sinner, you can’t have fellowship with God. In fact, because of your sin you are headed for an eternity without the joyful fellowship of your creator. (Isaiah 59:2; Romans 3:23)
People often think that through their efforts they can overcome the sin barrier between themselves and God. That isn’t true. There’s nothing you can do on your own to restore the broken relationship with God. You can’t earn God’s salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Romans 4:4-5) .
The Bible teaches that God sent His son Jesus to remove the sin barrier. What you cannot do for yourself, Jesus Christ has done for you! Your sin serves as a barrier between you and God. But the Good News is that Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross for you and then rose from the dead. He died in your place and payed your penalty. By taking your punishment on Himself, Jesus made a way for you to have fellowship with God. (1 Peter 2:23; Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 10:9)
You can receive the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ through faith.
Faith is trusting in what Jesus has done for you rather than trusting your own efforts to restore fellowship with God. Faith is complete reliance on perfect work of Christ to put you in right relationship with God, as you allow Him to live His life through you. Faith also involves repentance from past sins and a willingness to turn away from sin as you follow God’s plan for life. (John 14:6; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10)
Take time to admit to God that you are a sinner. Ask God to forgive your sins and invite Jesus into your life as Savior and Lord. Commit yourself to live for Him.
